God wants everything we are. That sums up what i've been thinking today. He wants all of us right down to our smallest flaw. He wants our big flaws too. He wants our imperfections and the things we hate about ourselves. I really believe that with all my heart. Why would God come down onto this earth as a man and die if he didn't want our everything? I'm slowly learning and getting glimpses of the love story we as followers of Christ get to live everyday. We have the gift of entering into the most beautiful relationship ever created. EVER. I know for myself, I want to give God my all, right down to my weaknesses. He is the only one that can turn those to strengths anyway. Hes just...AMAZING. And that doesn't even describe Him adequately.
"as you live is close contact with Me, the Light of My Presence filters through you to bless others. Your weakness and woundedness are the openings through which the light of knowledge of My glory shines forth. My strength and power show themselves most effective in your weakness." -God
That is from my devotional this morning. It is such a beautiful reminder to all of us judgmental and imperfect people.

GOD IS AMAZING
"The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms."
-Deuteronomy 33:27
Not only is God a God who will be your refuge, but he will be your EVERLASTING ARMS when you fall. This verse is one of my favorites, if not my very favorite. I found it a little while ago on a youth retreat with my youth group. I read it and it just hit me. SO hard. like, thats what He is! my refuge! He will never leave me or forsake me, there is not ONE freaking thing i can do that will make him want me or love me less. think about that! it is true for you too! it is true for all of us. it is one of the many beautiful characteristics of Jesus.
When i first read the part that says "...and underneath are the everlasting arms", i took it two ways.
one: God is our refuge, and we have the oppourtunity to be everlasting arms to others! i really like that idea. how awesome is it that we get to watch as Jesus' love flows out of us onto others, if we only let him work through us? WOW.
two: like i said that the begining of this post, God not only is our refuge, but when we fall down, loose sight, get mad, hurt, struggle, are in need, or anything human, God is there to pick us up so we can run to him once again.
i think both ways are what God had in mind for that verse.
Go out and LOVE with Gods love. let him pour his life and love and beauty over you, let him speak through you, that is when you can move mountains. But when you fall, watch as God lifts you. He will. He never leaves or forsakes us. Trust him to be your refuge.
that is what i got from that verse.
i have not lived long, but i've long enough to tell you that NO MATTER WHAT, and i mean NO MATTER WHAT, God is faithful. He will lift you when you fall, he will speak words through you, he will give you purpose. There is nothing more satisfying than watching God use you! IT IS AMAZING.
i pray for whoever is reading this, that they will see that there is nothing more you need than to fall before God and watch as he works. God will use all things for good.
i could go on and on and on and onnnnnnnn. i freaking LOVE Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he never lets go.

At school right now, looking around and feeling the hopelessness inside everyone, maybe its just the mood i'm in, but right now I can feel the lack of depth in my fellow teenagers. Jesus, help me to know you're there. Help me to feel your depth and the depth of your love all around me. That is not only my prayer for myself but for others.

God says, "i see straight through you, into the depths of your being. There is no place for pretense in your relationship with me. Rejoice in the relief of being fully understood. Talk with me about your struggles and feelings of inadequacy. Little by little, I will transform your weaknesses into strengths. Remember that your relationship with me is saturated in grace. Therefore, nothing that you do or don't do can seperate you from my presence. " just read this in my devotional. SO what I needed to hear. Such a great reminder.
newness
this is the start of something NEW! something fresh. as you can see, i renamed my blog. My only worry is that people might get the wrong idea, but hey, if someone stumbles upon this by accident, yay!
i am going to be more intentional in my blogging. and i am just going to be honest and real and tell you about Jesus in my life. He is everything. He is my first love and i want people to see that His love is CRAZY. honestly, there are no words that really do it justice. i am no where near of completely understanding it, but that is EXCITING because it just means i get to go deeper and deeper and deeper until i get to see His face.

happy 4th!
a little late, i know, but i've been having an awesome time this weekend celebrating our independence!!!
Yesterday at church the pastor talked about how America has lost the "Christianity" that it once had and how president Obama announced that we are no longer a "Christian Nation". He explained how our founding fathers set up this nation as a place to be free to worship and a place set up and founded by God Himself. We were challenged to pray for our country as much as we can and i think that is something worth doing. All of the people in power need prayer, especially to deal with all of the crazy things going on in our world, and with wisdom.
So i challenge whoever's reading this to do that, pray for our nation:
-That they will have wisdom is dealing with troubles
-That they will have a sense of peace

fresh start!
as you can see, my blog is getting a makeover.
i don't really care about fashion very much anymore, and i thought that if i'm going to have a blog about something, it should be the most important thing in my life, which is Jesus. so this blog is now about Jesus and how he affects my life. : ) i'm excited!!
the namesake verse for this blog is obviously, 2 Timothy 1 : 6-7. But if you keep reading past that, it gets even better:
2 Timothy 1 : 8-10
"so do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given in Jesus Christ before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and brought life and immorality to light through the gospel."
thats what i feel like this blog is, i'm testifying! on the internet! its gonna be great : )
